Why should I enroll in this program? Tattooing truly is a dream job. You will use your creativity daily while helping others to express themselves. Upon completion of this course you will be confident and able to perform efficient, creative tattoos. Mastery takes time and graduates will need to continue to learn to become proficient experienced tattoo artists.
Where are you located? The Tattoo Learning Center tattoo school has 2 locations: Fort Myers, Florida and Port Angeles, Washington. Lisa Fasulo teaches her tattoo program at Austin School of Spa Technology in Albany, NY.
Do you offer financial aid? The Tattoo Learning Center does qualify for and accepts various state vocational/rehabilitation program grants.
We can offer a 12 month financial payment plan if you are able to put down half of the tuition. Our school participates with the Military Spouse program (MyCaa).
How many students are in the class? We have very small classes to allow you individualized guidance. We take up to 6 students per session.
How many tattoos will I do while there? Most of our Tattoo Fundamental students generally get about 2-3 tattoos completed each day. The specialty courses are hands-on but lecture based as well.
What is the cost of the program? The cost of the 2-week Tattoo Fundamentals class is $4500, this price includes lodging for Florida & Washington. In Albany, NY the tuition is reduced to $3960 since the student must be responsible for their own lodging costs. We can provide special hotel discount information.
The cost of the 1 week specialty courses are $2400 ($1800 for returning TLC students) and the 2 week specialty courses are $3800 ($3400 for returning TLC students).
Do I need any equipment? No, during the school sessions you will be using all our provided tattoo machines and supplies. You do not need to bring anything to school. We use several different tattoo machines and power sources, etc. so you will be comfortable with different types of equipment. A full kit of professional tattoo equipment comes with all the Tattoo Fundamental course tuitions.
Do I need to be an artist? You will learn many things such as shading and color contrasting, but you need to have a good basic hand-eye coordination and a steady hand. Your level of proficiency is what will set you apart from the "crowd". Will I have a portfolio when I graduate? When you graduate you will leave with a flashdrive which will have digital images of all the tattoos you completed while here to start your portfolio.
Will I be licensed when I graduate? Although you will be licensed and regulated while at our various school locations, you will still need to re-apply for licensing in the county or state in which you plan to work. Tattoo Licenses do NOT transfer from one place to another. Remember to call your local health department for information.
